#1 This item is a fossil net weight used by Alaskan natives to weigh their fishing lines and nets down. it is 7" lomg by 3 and 1/2" wide and weighs 1 and 1/2 pounds.this net weight can range in age from a few hundred to a couple thousand years old .This is the largest and finest one I have came across in 30 years of collecting. large net weights like this one are much harder to find than a fossil ice axe .It does come with a rosewood stand .the price for this art on an artifact is $800.00
#2 This item is a follised ice axe used by Alaskan natives. For one use , they would chop holes in the ice to fish and also seals will come to a hole in the ice and come up for a breath of air where the native would get the seal . this item is in very good condition considering it can range in age any where from a few hundred to a few thousand years old . you can still plainly see the edge that was sharpened and the notch where a piece of bone or wood was lashed for a handle. these artifacts are becoming very hard to find and obtain . the price for this piece is $800.00
